Audio Door Entry Systems

Audio systems are commonly used as the first point of access into many buildings.

The system offers a 2 way conversation to identify the caller and the occupier presses the release button on the handset to unlock the door, gate or barrier.

These systems follow the same rules as standard audio entry listed above with the added benefit of an access control device added to the entry panel.

The addition of access control allows users to use a code or a card/keyfob to gain access while visitors still use the audio intercom to gain access.

Many styles of panels can be supplied to accommodate an access control device and it is common to use a keypad, proximity keyfob reader.

The look of the panel also benefits by having the access control device integrated into the design.

Video Entry Systems

Video entry systems add the ability to view the caller from the monitor handset and are commonly used as the first point of access into many buildings.

The system offers a 2 way conversation where the occupier has to ability to view the call to identify the them and the occupier presses the release button on the monitor handset to unlock the door, gate or barrier.

As with audio entry systems, video systems are available in variety of formats where the entry panel can be either flush mounted, surface mounted, vandal resistant stainless steel or polished brass.

Commonly, video systems are supplied as kits compromising of -

• Appropriate number of monitor handsets
• System power supply
• Electric lock release
